Ode to Grandpa:  Grandpa or at least that's what most people called him had lots of stories 'bout youth and fishin'.  He marched to a different drum and when you got a chance to catch up to him,  he was usually scurrying around making his favorite fish dough-bait from none other than dough you make from kneading white bread and a hint of water.  Back in the day you couldn't just go and buy dough-bait at the store, you had to make your own the "old fashioned way" which took work...somethin' those young whippersnappers (A 17th century combined word whip-snapper used to define a young person who would have nothing better to do than snap a whip all day long) today don't know about.  You started out by kneading the dough and shaping them into little balls dusted with garlic powder bout  the size of a #12 hook.  Can't reveal his other secret ingredients-you'll have to make your own-try it out and see.  Legend has it back in the seventies, Grandpa caught a twenty pound rainbow in Panguitch Reservoir on that special dough-bait with special sauce.  "Yes Reservoir, don't know why they call it Panguitch Lake," he said,  "because it's actually a Reservoir built over a natural lake like the others." Water is released like any other reservoir and used for irrigation so the ranchers can grow hay for their cattle.  Granpa's treasure hung on a wall, lives on and is stuffed in some office somewhere-nobody knows where. All we can say is start your legend today at Panguitch Reservoir where the giants are lurking out in the natural lake depths.  If you need to know where the natural lake starts, just ask during check out with your boat rental before you leave the marina.  All others we are tight lipped!
